Kerang & District Vintage Motor Club Inc.
Show & Shine at the Kerang Showgrounds - Sunday April 19th, 9am to 3pm
The Kerang and District Vintage Motor Club was formed in 1978 as a local club was needed as members used to travel to other towns (St Arnaud and Swan Hill) The club started off with 40 members and has increased to 165 members plus partners.
The club caters for anyone who has an interest in vehicles and they meet once a month for meetings, club events include social events, coffee runs, overnight trips and week long trips. They support local events such as agriculture shows and cars displays etc..
The week long trips are held once a year and we have travelled to places like Tassie, Broken Hill, Adelaide and Gippsland. Members vehicles vary in age make and model, ranging from 1920’s to 1990’s.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in cars
Club events in which members may participate include Tours, Social Events, Coffee Runs, Annual Trips away, Displays and the Monthly General Meetings. Joining the Kerang and District Vintage Motor club Inc. also gives you the opportunity to meet other car enthusiasts who have a wealth of knowledge to help you with your restoration project or just to keep your car on the road.
The Club meets at the Kerang & District Vintage Motor Club Rooms at 1 Rattray Street Kerang at 8.00pm on the third Tuesday of every month. We have one type of Membership and it is only $50.00. This membership includes all members of your family.
The Federation Three Rivers Picnic
The Three Rivers Picnic was was originally an annually meeting of four clubs, Kerang, Swan Hill, Echuca and Deniiquin which was held at the Barham Lakes then with their closing it turned into taking in turns at meeting at the town of the clubs. It's now has turned into a Federation Picnic with several other clubs attending. They had over 110 cars at this event which shows we are heading in the right direction.
Old lady in a VW bug
An old lady drives down the freeway in a VW bug. All of a sudden the motor breaks down and she has to stop on the side of the road. She gets out of the car, walks to the front and opens the hood. Another lady in a VW bug comes by and stops and walks out to the lady. She ask: "Whats the problem?" Oh, I must have lost my motor! "Your lucky, I have a spare engine in the trunk of my car! You can have it!"
